Layered Spring Poppy Card

Here is the three-layered dimensional card I made with Memory Box's poppy die:

First of all, I die cut two negative poppy images on the white cardstock and save the positive image of the left side. I also die cut another positive poppy from a piece of white cardstock.

Then, I colored the poppies with Dover Blender and pigment ink pads. I also colored the negative portion for the right-hand poppy on the white card. For one of the positive poppy images, I die cut the poppy on the white craft foam and back it up with one of the colored poppy images to create dimension (see below photo).

I stamped the white cardstock background with light grey text stamp and used the die cut inlay technique to attach the left-hand side poppy into the text background. Then, I attached the text background with foam tapes on top of the white cardstock - make sure to align with the right-hand side colored poppy. Final step is to attach the poppy backed with white craft foam in the middle of the poppies. Finish the card by stamping the greeting and glued some silver dots of Irresistibles Pico Embellisher. Below is a side look of the card to see the three dimensions of poppy layers:

Altenew April Challenge - From Places Abroad - China

Here is Altenew April Challenge - From Places Abroad - China. Below is the inspiration photo:

This photo is the palace roof from the Forbidden City in Beijing, China. I visited the Forbidden City about 12 years ago and these palace buildings gave me a great impression and memory. I decided to use the red, blue, purple and gold colors from the palace to make this card:

I gold embossed these butterflies from Ori Kami set and colored them with Distress ink pads. I also made a separate butterfly and hand cut it. I brushed Distress ink pads at the bottom of the background to create the blended stripes and stamped the greeting in black. I attached the cut out butterfly with foam tape besides the greeting. Finish the card by brushing the clear Wink of Stella pen on all butterflies.  Below is a closer look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI, Stampin' Up
Stamps: Altenew
Ink Pads: Versamark, Versafine, Distress ink pads
Others: gold embossing powder, foam tape, the Wink of Stella pen

AEI♥U Challenge #23–Watercolor!

Here is Avery Elle challenge #23 for April - Watercolor! Below is the challenge photo:

I decided to use both Story Book and Ellie sets to make this story book watercolor look card. Here is the card:

I lightly stamped the deer, elephant, and balloon with ink pads and applied watercolors on them. The grass and little bird were stamped with Distress ink pads and used water brush to spread the colors. The background was brushed with light blue Distress ink pad and sprayed the blue Distress marker with the Spritzer tool. Finish the card by stamped the Welcome Little One on a piece of cardstock and cut out as a flag. Attached it on the card with foam tape. Below is a closer look of the card (The eyes on deer and elephant were two drops of black enamel accent):

Supplies:
Cardstock: Watercolor paper, PTI
Stamps: Avery Elle

Focus - Kung Fu Panda

Every time when I saw Mama Elephant's Pandamonium stamp set, I will think of the Kung Fu Panda movie.

So, when I found Mama Elephant has this April Flickr Challenge with "Make Me Laugh!" theme, I immediately pulled out the Pandamonium set and started to think about what can I make with this set. Here is the challenge photo:

And this is the card I made:

I let these three panda to stack up playing some Chinese Kung Fu (Are they just adorable and funny?). I used my MISTI tool to stamp them exactly on the place I want. The lantern was stamped and colored with Distress ink and the clear Wink of the Stella pen. Then, I cut out the lantern and used foam tape to attach it on the stick. For the FOCUS, the stamps are from Flashy Letters set and I stamped them with MISTI tool with different colors of ink pads. "You're the best" is from Origami set and I stamped with dark grey ink. Finish the card by putting some white enamel liquid glue on panda's eyes and mount the panel on a dark grey card base. Here is another look of the card and you can see the shiny 3D lantern more clear:

Supplies:
Carstock: PTI, Simon Says Stamp
Stamps: Mama Elephant
Ink Pads: Archival ink pad, Memento, Hero Arts, Distress ink pad
Others: MISTI tool, clear Wink of Stella pen, foam tape, white enamel liquid glue

Dimensional Birthday Card

Happy Easter everyone! Here I made a layered/dimensional birthday card with Simon Says Stamp's Birthday Balloon stamp & die set. Below is the card:

I inked the balloon stamp with Hero Arts Ombre ink pad for the first layer, then stamped and die cut two balloons and used foam tapes to attach them on top of the first layer. I colored these two balloons with the clear Wink of Stella pen to make them shiny. For the left and right white cardstock with black border panels, I also attached foam tapes to let them have the same height as the two balloons on the top. I also lined up the greetings Happy Birthday and heat embossed it. I attached some sequins to finish the card. Below is the side look of the card to see its layers and dimensions:
