Simon Wednesday Challenge - Going Around In Circles

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Going Around In Circles, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:


I used Altenew's Rustling Leaves 3D embossing folder to run through the white cardstock and blended in different shades of green Distress inks. I die cut leaves (from Penny Black's Fall Fern die) and colored them with Altenew alcohol markers. I die cut "hugs" (from Altenew's Timeless Sentiments die set) from white and dark green cardstock and stacked them together. Finish the card by attaching leaves die cross out the background and hugs die in the center of the circle. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Monochrome

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Monochrome, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:


I applied Simon Says Stamp's Willowweave stencil with different shades of purple (from Altenew Fresh ink pads) on a white cardstock to create an ombre look. Then I used the matching die to die cut twice stacking together and attached to the background. I white embossed "hello friend" (from Simon Says Stamp's Good Greetings 1 stamp set) on dark purple cardstock and cut it out with the matching die. Finish the card by attaching the greeting on the background. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:


I stamped the hedgehog (from Penny Black's Kind stamps & dies set) on watercolor paper with Memento Toffee Crunch ink pad and watercolor with Distress re-inkers. Then I used the matching die to cut it out. I used Simon Says Stamp's Dancing Starlets 3D embossing folder to dry emboss the magenta color of cardstock as background. I also die cut Penny Black's Gentle Swell Frame dies set with white and magenta frames. I stamped "I treasure your kindness" (from Penny Black's Kind stamp set) onto the frame. I attached the frame on the background and foam mounted the hedgehog on the frame. Finish the card by attaching some glitter drops within the frame. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Make Your Own Background

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Make Your Own Background, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:


I made the background with alcohol inks on Yupo paper and stamped Penny Black's Letter Background stamp on it. I die cut the flower (from Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th' Spring Bloom Inlay dies set) and blended the inlay pieces with Altenew's Fresh ink pads. I also die cut a black frame (from Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th' A2 Thin Frames dies set) and attached it onto the background. I white embossed "sending hugs" (from Altenew's Evergreen Beauty stamp set) on a strip of black cardstock and attached it under the flower. Finish the card by attaching some glitter drops on the flower centers. Below is another look of the card:

I used Simon Says Stamp' Winter Floral Layering stencils set to create the background with Altenew's Fresh ink pads and Lisa Horton Crafts' solid gold ink pad. I die cut "thank you" (from Simon Says Stamp's Thank You die set) from matte gold cardstock and vellum. Finish the card by attaching the "thank you" die on the background. Simon Wednesday Challenge - 4 Legged Friends

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - 4 Legged Friends, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the 3D card I created to attend this challenge:


I blended the background with different shades of blue inks. I die cut the reindeer (from Memory Box' Deer Trio die set), Christmas trees (from Simon Says Stamp's Little Evergreen Trees die set), and Peace (from Concord & 9th' Peace Love Joy Frames die set) and brushed ink colors on trees and deer. I cut the slope free hand and apply glitter glue on top to mimic snow. I also used white gel pen to draw snow on the background. Finish the card by assembling all die cuts together to finish this 3D Christmas card. Below is another look of the card:

I used Spellbinders' stitched alphabet dies to create "love" word with Spellbinders' cardstocks. I used Pinkfresh Studio's Charming Stitched Florals coverplate die to create the navy background. I used Spellbinders' Gorgeous You Florals, Mini Fall Blooms, and Mini Blooms and Sprigs die sets to die cut small flowers and leaves and attached them around "love" alphabet dies. Finish the card by attaching some glitter drops on the background. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Things With Wings

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Things With Wings, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:


I used Simon Says Stamp's Exotic Vines 3D embossing folder and Spellbinders' Flower Frenzy 3D embossing folder to press on a panel of white glossy cardstock. Then I blended in Altenew Fresh ink pad with purple and blue on both embossed areas. I stamped and die cut three butterflies (from Altenew's Meadow Reflections stamp and die set) and colored with alcohol markers. I white embossed the sentiment (from Altenew's Meadow Reflections stamp set) on dark purple cardstock and attached the sentiment strip in between the two dry embossed areas. I attached the embossed panel on the purple card base and glued two thin stripes of matte silver cardstock on both sides of the panel. Finish the card by attaching the three butterflies on the card. I used Concord & 9th' Just Talking stencil pack to create the background. Then I used the matching stamp set to white embossed the sentiments on the speech bubbles. I also used the matching die to cut out the "happy birthday" speech bubble and stacked the dies to make it dimensional. Finish the card by attaching the speech bubble die on the background. Simon Wednesday Challenge - Masculine

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Masculine, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:


I white embossed the robot (from Tim Holtz' Mini Blueprints 9) on dark grey cardstock, and colored it with white color pencil, then layered with silver color pencil. I die cut it with nested postage die set and mounted it on a light grey cardstock. Then I mounted it on the Holostock paper (from Brutus Monroe) and dark grey cardstock. I attached the image on a medium grey card base. Finish the card by stamping "happy birthday" (from Altenew's Persian Motifs stamp set) below the robot image. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes, below is the challenge photo:

I was inspired by Mindy Eggen's watercolor rainbow technique which combined both watercolor and ink pads with 3D embossing folder for this card. I used Distress reinkers to watercolor a background with yellow, blue, pink, and purple. I also put and match some metallic watercolor paints on top of each watercolors to make the background shimmery. Then I press this watercolor background through Altenew's Splendid Bouquet 3D embossing folder. I used the matching stencils to blend in different ink pad colors to match the watercolor colors. I applied a light grey ink on the leaves and stems to make them a little bit dark. I used black ink on the flower centers. I sprinkle gold and white paints on the background. Finish the card by stamp and die cut "happy birthday" (from Altenew's Splendid Bouquet die set) and attached it at the bottom of the card. Below is another look of the card.

I die cut three calla lilies (from Penny Black's Poised die set) from white cardstock and blended ink on the flowers and stems. I also die cut a ribbon (from The Greetery's Put A Bow On It stamp & die set) from white cardstock and blended different shades of yellow inks on it. I stamped "just for you" on the ribbon. Finish the card by attaching some enamel dots (from Altenew) on the dark green background. Below is another look of the card:

I used Waffle Flower's Postage Collage die, Postage Collage The Pond stencil set, and Postage Collage stamp set to create the colorful pond postage theme. I stamped "thinking of you" (from Altenew's Afternoon Delights stamp set) and white embossed it on navy cardstock. I attached the sentiment on the postage background. Finish the card by attaching some ombre glitter drops - enchanted forest (from Pinkfresh Studio) on the card. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes, below is the challenge photo:

I was inspired with Jennifer McGuire's live video on the masking technique and created this card. I stamped the flower (from Concord & 9th' Eclectic Blooms stamp set) on the white cardstock. I also used the matching die to cut this flower shape from masking paper and covered it on the stamped flower. Then I used the masking strips to diagonally mask the background and ink blended different shades of blue and green on the background. Once it is done, I removed all masking strips and flower mask to have the string result. Finish the card by attaching "thanks" die cut (from Concord & 9th's Eclectic Blooms die set) at the bottom of the card. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Make It Feminine

I die cut Penny Black's Classy Frames on white and dark purple cardstock and stacked them together. I stamped the flower (from Penny Black's Abloom stamp set) on the white cardstock inside of the frame. Then I applied the masking technique to mask flower (with the matching die) as well as masking strips to create the strip background under the flower. I used Altenew's Paper Echoes stencil and fresh day ink pad to create the lavender background. I white embossed "happy birthday" (from Gina K Designs' Floral Framework stamp and die set) on dark purple cardstock and cut out with the matching die. I assembled the floral frame and greeting on the stenciled background. Finish the card by dropping some purple glitter glue on the flower centers. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Quite Quirky

I made a tri-fold card with daisies breaking out from the right panel. I die cut daisies (from Penny Black's Daisy Delight die and blended yellow and green inks on them. I blended blue ink on the right bottom corner of the card front and stamped Penny Black's Letter Background stamp on top of it. I also die cut three lady bugs (from Waffle Flower's Lady Bug die set) and attached on the background. I attached the daisies on the folded panel and covered it with black cardstock panel and black glitter cardstock strip. Finish the card by attaching "sweet birthday hugs" (from Waffle Flower's Sentiments Cake Time die cut) at the bottom of the card front. Below is another look of the card:

I die cut "enjoy" (from Penny Black's Immense Enjoyment die) on watercolor paper and colored it with Vintage Photo Distress re-inker. I stamped and die cut the coffee cup from Penny Black's Brew-Tea-Ful stamp and die set and watercolor it with Distress re-inkers. I white embossed "relax and" and "the little things" (from Penny Black's Enjoy Builder stamp set) on top of below the "enjoy" die cut. I also applied Lisa Horton's solid gold re-inker on the brush and sprinkled the gold splatter on the brown background. Finish the card by attaching the coffee cup on top of the "O" with foam tapes.
