Altenew December 2020 Inspiration Challenge - A Year In Review

Here is Altenew December 2020 Inspiration Challenge - A Year In Review, below are the challenge photos:


 


Here is the card I made which is inspired by the colors in March 2020:


I used Altenew's Beautiful Bergenia 3D embossing folder to dry emboss the white cardstock. Then I picked my blending brush to lightly blend in purple, blue, and green Distress Oxide inks on the embossed images. I white embossed "Thank you" (from Altenew's Paint-A-Flower: Calla Lily stamp set) on black cardstock and attached it on the background with foam tapes. Finish the card by dropping some glitter glue on the center of flowers. Below is another look of the card:

I die cut "MERRY" with different colors of cardstock and stack them together. I gold embossed the snowflakes and "christmas" on a strip of hunter green cardstock. I attached the "christmas" stripe under "MERRY". Finish the card by dropped some gold glitter glue on the background. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Monday Challenge - Celebrate!

Here is Simon Monday Challenge - Celebrate! Below is the challenge photo:


And here is the card I made to attend this challenge:


I stamped the image (from Gina K. Designs' Holiday Tapestry stamp set) on black cardstock with white ink pad using MISTI stamping tool. Then I cleaned the stamp and applied different colors of Distress Oxide ink pads with dabbers and stamped on top of the white image again. The colors will look more vivid on top of white ink with black cardstock. I gold embossed the greeting at the bottom of the card. I used the water brush to dip some gold paints and randomly put some dots on the black background. Below is another look of the card:

I used Pinkfresh Studio's Pop Out Folk Christmas stamp to heat embossed with gold, silver, bronze, and rose gold embossing powders on different images. Then I color the images with metallic watercolors. Finish the card by heat embossed "joy to the world" on a stripe of vellum and attach it at the bottom of the card. I used The Greetery's Snowflake Soiree layered stencil set to make the background with different colors of Distress Oxide inks. I used the matching dies to cut out "Be Merry" with green glitter cardstock and vellum as back. I stamped the greeting and small snowflakes with the same set of stamps. Finish the card by randomly dropped glitter glues on the background. Below is another look of the card:

I stamped Hero Arts Pearl Strings Bold Prints background stamp with different colors of dye ink pads with MISTI stamping tool. Then, I clean the background stamp and use Versamark ink pad to stamp the whole background again. I brushed Perfect Pearl powder on the background to make it shiny. I die cut a heart (from Hero Arts' heart nested dies) in the middle of the background. I white embossed "thank you" on the pink card front. Then I used foam tapes to attach the Perfect Pearl background on the pink card. Finish the card by attaching some pearl gems around "thank you". Below is another look of the card:

I stamped the snowman (from Paper Artsy JOFY 58) on the white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I blended Distress Oxide inks from top with dark blue and faded into the bottom of the card. I white embossed the greeting (from Simon Says Stamp's Holiday Greetings Mix 1) on navy cardstock and matted with silver glitter cardstock. I applied the snowflake stencil (from The Greetery) with silver acrylic paint (from Arteza) on the sky. Finish the card by attaching the greeting block with foam tapes on the background. One of my favorite techniques is to use Simon Says Stamp's white woodgrain cardstock to make the hardwood floor background. I blended Distress Oxide inks - Weathered Wood, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs, and Ground Espresso on the white woodgrain cardstock. Then I used Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink with some water and flicked it on the background with a watercolor brush. I cut the woodgrain paper into stripes and arranged them on the background to make the hardwood floor background. I die cut the wreath on silver glitter cardstock and I silver embossed "miss you" on the dark brown cardstock. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Monday Challenge - Favorite Technique

One of my favorite techniques is to use Simon Says Stamp's white woodgrain cardstock to make the hardwood floor background. I blended Distress Oxide inks - Weathered Wood, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs, and Ground Espresso on the white woodgrain cardstock. Then I lightly applied a coat of white acrylic paint on top of the blended Distress Oxide inks. Let it dry completely. Then I used Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink with some water and flicked it on the background with a watercolor brush. I cut the woodgrain paper into stripes and arranged them on the background to make the hardwood floor background. I die cut the layered hearts with three different blue cardstock and attached a stamped "thank you" in the middle of the heart. Below is another look of the card:

I die cut Hero Arts' Leaves & Vines Fancy Die from green foiled cardstock (from DCWV) and I also die cut two more on white cardstock. Then I stacked them together and attached it on the hunter green background. I white embossed "may your days be merry" (from Hero Arts' Cozy Town stamp set) on hunter green cardstock and mat with green foiled cardstock. Finish the card by attaching some red pearls on the background. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Fun With Dies

I stamped the tress (from Gina K Designs) on the background and run it through trees embossing folder. I use blending brush to lightly  brush inks on the dry embossed area. I die cut deer (from Memory Box) and attached them on the left bottom of the card. I die cut "merry" with glitter paper and attach it slightly offset on the dark brown die cut. I white embossed "Christmas" on dark brown cardstock and hand cut it. I used Versamark ink pad to swipe around the card background and put copper embossing powder to hear emboss the border. I used Hero Art's Infinity T shirt dies to cut three T shirts for the main images. I decorated these T shirts with Simon Says Stamps - heat embossed the images and colored them with Distress Oxide inks and metallic paints. The background was also blended with different colors of Distress Oxide inks. Finish the card white embossed "season's greetings" and attach some gems on the background. Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

And here is the slimline card I made to attend this challenge:


I stamped the polar bear (from MFT's Polar Bear Pals stamp set) on white cardstock and colored it with Copic marker. Then, I fussy cut the bear. I free hand cut the slope with vellum and white embossed the border. For the background, I blended different shades of blue Distress Oxide inks. I applied the snowflake stencil (from The Greetery) on the background with Arteza silver metallic acrylic paint. Let it dry completely. I die cut "Merry Christmas" (from Simon Says Stamp) three times on white cardstock and stacked them together. Finish the card by assembling them all together and attaching the polar bear with foam tapes. Below is another look of the card:

I stamped the polar bear and fish bucket (from MFT's Polar Bear Pals stamp set) on white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. Them I stamped the greeting (from Simon Says Stamp's Holiday Greetings Mix 1) on top of the card with Versafine black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I put a stencil on top of the cardstock and brushed light blue Distress ink on the background. Finish the card by dropping some glitter glue randomly on the card. Below is another look of the card:
