Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - May 24-30

Here is Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - May 24-30 Designer Drafts Challenge. Below are the challenge photos:

And here is the card I made for this challenge:

I used the masking method to mask the background with a circle cut out and applied Distress inks into the circle to make the sun. Then, I cut out a slanted stripe of blue cardstock as well as a strip of vellum (making vellum larger than blue cardstock to show the vellum layer). I stamped the sailboat on a piece of white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I cut out the sailboat and attached it on the vellum stripe and backed up with foam tapes in front of the sun. I stamped the "waving hello" and heat embossed it. Finish the card by stamping the two seagulls and brushing the clear Wink of Stella pen on the sailboat. Below is a closer look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI
Stamps: Paper Smooches (Wicked Nauticool & Luminous Spring)
Ink Pads: Versafine, Distress ink pads
Others: vellum, foam tape, embossing powder

Altenew May Challenge - From Places Abroad - Tunisia

Here is Altenew May Challenge - From Places Abroad - Tunisia inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the colors in the photo and made the below card:

I stamped the flowers from Persian Motifs set and gold embossed it on the watercolor paper. Then, I applied watercolor with the 36 colors set from Zig Kuretake Gansa Tambi to color the flowers. Once the watercolors dry, I brushed the silver watercolor in this set to make it a pearlescent look. Below is the photo you can see the look better:

Finish the card by gold embossing the greeting and attached some sequins on the background. Below is a closer look of the watercolor flowers:

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up, Tim Holtz watercolor paper
Stamps: Altenew
Ink Pads: Versamark
Others: watercolors, gold embossing powder, sequins

Poppystamps Challenge #8 - It's All About Her

Here is Pappystamps Challenge #8 - It's All About Her. Below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I made for this challenge:

I used the Ashby Corner die from Pappy Stamps to dry emboss the watercolor paper. Then, I applied watercolor on the dry embossed flower area. I used the same die and cut three times on the white cardstock and stacked them together with adhesive. I water colored the background with blue color and drop some blue speckles on the top of the background. I attached the stacked Ashby Corner die on top of the dry embossed watercolor area. Finish the card by stamping "to my special Mother" and heat embossing it. Below is a closer look of the card to see the dimension of the corner die:

Supplies:
Cardstocks: PTI, Tim Holtz watercolor paper
Stamps: Simon Says Stamp
Die: Poppy Stamps
Ink Pads: Distress ink pads, Versafine
Others: water brush

Congratulations - Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made to enter the following two challenges:

1) Mama Elephant's May Challenge - Make ME say "Oooh, that's pretty"
2) CAS-ual Fridays: CFC139 - Our 4th Birthday!

And here is the finished card:

I stamped the bunny and balloon bunch (from Mama Elephant's Up and Away set) on the white cardstock. I also stamped the "congratulations" (from Mama Elephant's Bountiful Blessings set) at the bottom of the white cardstock. Then, I colored the bunny and balloon bunch with Copic markers. For the sky background, I water colored it with Distress ink pads mixing orange and turquoise colors. I love the combination effect of Copic & watercolor. I also applied the clear Wink of Stella pen on the balloons to add a shimmery look. I cut the top portion of the background with a cloud shape (free-hand cut). For the turquoise card, I applied some white pigment ink on top of it to make it more like the sky. Finish the card by mounting the white cardstock with foam tapes on the turquoise card to make it dimensional. Below is a side look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstocks: PTI, Stampin' Up
Stamps: Mama Elephant
Ink Pads: Memento, Distress ink pads, Stampin' Up
Others: Copic markers, the Wink of Stella pen, foam tapes, water brush

Whale You Be Mine?

Here is the card I made to attend the following two challenges:

1) Lawnscaping Challenge #105 Watercolors

2) Simon Wednesday Challenge - Let's Get Sentimental

I decided to make a card with Distress ink pads to create a watercolor background. Then, I used white pigment ink pad and circle stencils to make the bokeh effect watercolor background. Below is the background:

Then, I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Borders die to cut vellum and created the waves. I colored the whales with Copic markers and cut out. I attached foam tapes under the whales and stick them in the waves. I stamped the doted water and heart on top of the whale and colored the heart with the clear Wink of Stella pen. Finish the card by stamping and embossing the greeting "whale you be mine?" to finish this top folding card. Below is the finished card:

Below is the closer look of these cute whales:
