Altenew September 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Hello crafters! Welcome to the Altenew September 2024 Release Blog Hop. I am deeply honored to be the Guest Designer again and I’m excited to share a snapshot of five cards I’ve created using the newest Altenew products. I hope you’ll enjoy them all!

To create this stamped and die-cut masking effect, I first stamped the flowers on white cardstock. Then, placing the cup die in the desired position, I stamped the flowers again onto the cup die-cut. I fussy cut the cup and attached it to the background. I colored the flowers with Altenew’s alcohol markers, finishing the card by adding the Tranquility heart enamel dots on the cup die-cuts.

Craft You Life Project Kit: Mixed Blooms

I white embossed the large flower image on dark gray cardstock and cut it out using the matching die. I also used the smaller flower and leaf dies from the kit to embellish the large flower image on this top-folding card. The sentiment stamps are also from the kit.

After dry embossing the large flower on white cardstock, I used the matching stencils to blend Altenew’s Fresh Dye inks onto the flowers and leaves. I then cut it out with the coordinating die. I divided the flower image into two parts and attach them to the top and bottom of the card. The sentiments were white embossed in these areas as well. I love how this kit includes large sentiment titles paired with smaller greetings. I randomly added Tranquility enamel dots to complete the card.

Perfect Gift

For this card, I dry embossed the image onto white cardstock and used the layering stencils to blend inks onto flowers and leaves. As for the frame, applied gold Lunar Paste through the stencil. I cut out the entire embossed image and adhered it to a white card base. The “perfect gift” sentiment was die cut three times from purple cardstock and stacked together for added dimension. I finished the card by adding Altenew’s iridescent crystals to the background.

Fresh Dye Inks & Craft Necessities: Cardstock

Altenew has released new, vibrant cardstocks! These colors perfectly coordinate with their inks. For this card background, I used Puffy Heart, Purple Wine, and Cosmic Berry cardstocks. I die cut the flowers (from Altenew’s Gardenia Layering Die Set) from Puffy Heart cardstock and blended the new Carnival Magic Fresh Dye Ink set onto each petal. I also die cut leaves from white cardstock and blended them with the new Mediterranean Glow Fresh Dye Ink set. I finished the card by white- embossing “hello gorgeous” (from Mixed Blooms stamp set) on the top.
