Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge - Weeks #704-705

Here is Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge - Weeks #704-705, below is the challenged word art:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:

I used Concord & 9th's Sew Lovely dies set and white wood grain cardstock (from Simon Says Stamp) to create the spools. I brushed Memento's Toffee Crunch ink on the spools to make them like the real wooden spools. I also die cut the "threads" from blue and yellow cardstock as well as a needle cut from a silver foil cardstock. I also die cut "hello" from white cardstock and color it with blue, green, and yellow inks. I assembled the spools, needle, threads, and hello die on the black cardstock. I white embossed "sew happy for you" (from Concord & 9th's Sew Lovely stamp set) under "hello" die. Finish the card by attaching a blue enamel heart (from Altenew) below the greeting. Below is another look of the card:

Supplies:

Cardstock: Spellbinders, Gina K Designs, DCWV

Ink Pads: Altenew, Versamark

Stamps: Concord & 9th

Dies: Concord & 9th

Others: Altenew enamel dots, white embossing powder

Thank you for visiting my blog.

  1. Oh my goodness Julienne, this is precious! I started sewing when I was 10 and I still have some of the wooden spools of thread that I got from my grandmother back then. I love how your spools turned out. They are so realistic looking. I really like how the "Hello" goes from blue to yellow, matching the thread. Very clever. And the little heart is such a nice touch! The whole card is fantastic. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We really appreciate you!
