Paper Smooches June 2016 Challenge & Simon Wednesday Challenge
Here is Paper Smooches June 2016 challenge - layers, below is the challenge photo:
And here is this week's Simon Wednesday Challenge - Add Some Shimmer. Below is the challenge photo:
I made this card to attend the above two challenges. Below is the finished card:
I have the black glitter cardstock as the base layer of my card. Then, I stamped a row of balloons from Birthday Bash set on top of white cardstock. Cut out the top portion along the balloons and colored with Copic markers. Then, I did the same thing again to create another layer of balloons. I attached the first layer of balloons on top of the black glitter cardstock, then I attached the second layer of balloons with foam tapes on top of the first layer. I stamped the greeting "happy birthday" at the bottom of the card and embossed it. I also used water brush to brush Inktense watercolor pencils in rainbow colors to paint over the greeting. Finish the card by brushing the clear Wink of the Stella pen on all of the balloons. Below is another look of the card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: MTF, black glitter cardstock
Stamps: Paper Smooches
Ink Pads: MTF, Versafine
Others: Copic markers, Inktense watercolor pencils, clear embossing powder, clear Wink of the Stella pen, water brush, foam tapes, Memento black marker

Here is the Summer of Creative Chemistry Week 3 Challenge - using Perfect Pearls & Distress Inks or Stains to create a project. Below is the challenge photo:
A Blog Named Hero June Challenge theme is vellum, below is the challenge photo:

I white embossed the starts on a piece of white cardstock. I used Distress Ink pads - salty ocean, peacock feathers, chipped sapphire, seedless preserves, and picked raspberry to stamp them on the craft sheet, and I put some Perfect Pearls on top of them. Then, I spray the water mist and put the white cardstock on top of it to make the background. I cut a piece of vellum with circle die and stamped "hello" from Spring Hello set (Hero Arts) on the vellum and white embossed it. Finish the card by attaching the circle vellum on the Distress background. Below is another look of the card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: MTF

Thinking Of You Card With Distress Stains
Here is the card I made to attend Mandy's Facebook June Challenge as well as Tim Holtz Summer of Creative Chemistry week 2 challenge. Below is the challenge photo of Summer of Creative Chemistry:
Here is the card I made for this challenge:
I applied Distress Stains - dusty concord, broken china, spun sugar, cracked pistachio, and picket fence (in between each color) on the craft sheet and mist them with water. Then, I put a piece of white cardstock to make the background. Let it dry completely. I stamped the model from Runway stamp set and colored with Copic markers. I brushed the clear Wink of the Stella pen on the dress to make it shiny. I also stamped the Paris stamp (from Tim Holtz Cityscapes stamp set) with light grey on the background. Stamped the greeting "thinking of you" at the bottom of the card. Attached the girl with foam tapes on the right-hand side of the card. Below is another look of the card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: MTF, Stampin' Up
Stamps: Tim Holtz, Simon Says Stamp
Ink Pads: Archival ink pad, Versafine
Others: Distress Stains, Copic markers, clear embossing powder, Wink of the Stella pen, foam tapes

Distress Batik Effect Technique
Here is the card I made with Distress ink pads using the batik effect technique. Below is the finished card:
I stamped these leaf stamps (Tim Holtz Falling Leaves set) with Versamark ink pad on a white cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then, I sprayed a little bit of water and crimped the white cardstock to create the folded lines. I used the bone folder to smooth out the folded lines. I applied five different green shades of Distress ink pads on the leaf background (see below):
The five green shades of Distress ink pads are: evergreen bough, mowed lawn, peacock feather, twisted citrus, and cracked pistachio. I tried to spread out the green colors on the different spots of white cardstock. Then, I applied more and more inks to darken the colors. So, the colors will go into all of the folded lines to create the batik effect. Finish the card by stamping the greeting on a stripe of vellum and white embossed it. Below is another look of the card:
I would like to have this card to attend the following two challenges:
1) Simon Monday Challenge - Monochrome, below is the challenge photo:
2) Tim Holtz Summer of Creative Chemistry - Week 1 of Challenge 1: using 4 or more colors of Distress ink. Below is the challenge photo:
Supplies:
Cardstock: MTF
Stamps: Tim Holtz, Paper Smooches
Ink Pads: Distress ink, Versamark
