Altenew's Sketchy Cities America

Altenew's new stamp sets are very popular right now. Lots of them are out-of-stock so soon and I can only get two of my favorite sets for now. One of them is the Sketchy Cities America. Here is the card I made with this set:

I white embossed the city stamp on the watercolor paper. Then, I used my water brush and Distress ink pads to color. Finish the card by stamp the text in black and hand drawn the three black seagulls. This is a quick, clean, and simple card.

I would like to use this card to attend Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge for this week - Not so Mellow Yellow. Here is the challenge photo:

I also want to attend CAS-ual Friday's CFC131: Three Thirds challenge. I have three seagulls and three words on my card. Here is the challenge photo:

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up (black), watercolor paper
Stamps: Altenew
Ink Pads: Distress ink pads, Archival ink pad, Versamark ink pad
Others: white embossing powder, water brush

Black Magic - Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge

Paper Smooches has an Anything Goes challenge this week for April 20-26. Here is the challenge:

Below is the card I made with black magic technique to attend this challenge:

I stamped the vases (from Crystal Clear and Free Spirits set) with white ink pad on the black cardstock. I also stamped two more vases (the right and left ones) on another black cardstock with white ink pad. Then, I stamped the stem of leaves and flower with white ink on the vases using masking method. After that, I colored the vases, flower, and leaves with colored pencils. Cut out those two extra vases and attach them with clear dimensional dots on top of the right and left vases. Stamp "thanks" (from Simply Said set) and white embossed it on the black cardstock. Finish the card with a few gems on the vases.

Here are the closer looks of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up (black), PTI (white)
Stamps: Paper Smooches
Ink Pads: Stampin' Up, Versamark
Others: color pencils, white embossing powder, clear foam dots, gems

Butterflies Necklace

Spring is here and the butterflies necklace can definitely represent the spirit of Spring. Here is the butterflies necklace I did based on the pattern of the book - "Crystal Play" by Anna Elizabeth Draeger.

I used 4mm and 6mm (on the large butterfly) Swarovski bicone crystals to make this necklace. The purple bicone color is called Tanzanite and the blue bicone color is called Light Azore.

Here is another look of the necklace:

Mama Elephant - Photo Inspiration Challenge

Here is the Mama Elephant's Photo Inspiration Challenge:

This photo gives me a beach and bottle idea, so I used the paper crane stamp in the Origami set to create a paper crane in a bottle beach scene. Below is the card I made:

First, I gold embossed the paper crane on white cardstock and colored it with water brush and Distress Ink pads, then cut it out. I hand drew a glass bottle on vellum and cut out, brushed some Pumice Stone ink on the edge of the bottle, then I cut another bottle on acetate (using the vellum bottle as the guide). I also cut a piece of cork paper to mimic the cork of the bottle. Second, I assembled them together with cork at the bottom, then vellum bottle, paper crane, and acetate bottle on the top. After that, I used water brush and Distress Ink pads to create the ocean and beach scene. I attached the foam dots on the back of the beach stripe to create a little dimension. Then, I stamped the text "sending smiles across the miles" (from Up and Away set) on top of the ocean. Last, I attached the bottle on the beach to finish the card.

Here is a closer look of the paper crane:
