AEI♥U Challenge #22 - Stripes

This is my first time to attend AEIHeratU Challenge and it's the Stripes challenge. Here is the challenge photo:

And below is the card I made for this challenge:

I used Avery Elle's Get Well stamp set to make this card. First, I stamped the flower bouquet image and black embossed it on a piece of watercolor paper. Then, I used the post it tape to cover the watercolor paper and brush different shades of green watercolor (ZIG Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 colors set) to make the stripes. I also used this same watercolor set to color the flower bouquet. This watercolor set has gold and silver colors in there and I used the silver color to brush on top of the blue color on the wrapping paper of the bouquet. The shimmer effect is absolutely gorgeous! Finish the card by stamp black "sending big hugs" on top and silver embossed "get well" at the bottom of the card. Below is a closer look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up, Tim Holtz watercolor paper
Stamps: Avery Elle
Ink Pads: Versamark, Versafine
Others: watercolor set, water brush, clear and gold embossing powder

Lawnscaping Challenge #102 - Distress Addicts

Here is Lawnscaping Challenge #102 - Distress Addicts. Tim Holtz's Distress line products are my all time favorite. Below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I made for this challenge:

I used Lawn Fawn's Flirty Frames and Stuck On You stamp sets as well as Flirty Frames matching die to make this card. For those succulent plants frames, I used a piece of watercolor paper and masking half of them with a post it tape. Then, I applied different green Distress ink pads and mini water mister to make green Distress background (see below):

Next, I mask the finished green part of the watercolor paper and applied different shade of brown Distress ink pads with mini mister to make the other half of the background. Below is the finished background:

I stamped the pots and succulents in between the green and brown Distress background with Versamark ink pad and clear embossed them. I stamped three little frames and gold embossed them from the Flirty Frames stamp set and cut them out with the matching dies. I also cut out the middle part of each frame and use the space as the guide to trace around the clear embossed succulent and pot.  Then, I cut out the succulent plants a little larger than the traced line and use black ink pad to wipe the ink on the paper. The clear embossed plants and pots will be resisted with the black ink. Below is the photo:

Then, I mount these resisted Distress plants on the gold frames and attached them with foam tapes on the kraft cardstock. I also brushed the edges of the kraft cardstock with Distress ink pads. Finish the card by gold embossing the "best wishes" greeting.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI, Tim Holtz watercolor paper
Stamps: Lawn Fawn
Dies: Lawn Fawn
Ink Pads: Distress ink pads, Versamark
Others: clear and gold embossing powders, foam tapes

Russian Spiral Bracelet

Here is the Russian Spiral Bracelet I made with seed beads. I followed this Youtube video from Potomac Bead Company to make it. The video is well instructed and easy to follow. Here is the link:

Below is the finished bracelet:

I love the color combination I picked for this bracelet. Here is another look:

It is a little hard at the first beginning, but once you know the pattern, it's very easy to make. You can also use crystal beads to replace seed beads to make a thicker bracelet.

Embossed Thank You Card

Here is a thank you card I made to enter the following two challenges:

1) Virginia's View Challenge #13 - All Things Embossed

2) Altenew March Challenge - From Places Abroad, and I was inspired with these two photos:

Below is the card I made:

First, I chose Altenew's Persian Motifs and Hennah Elements stamp sets to arrange and stamp them on a round cut piece of vellum, then heat embossed them with gold and white embossing powders. I cut out a white round stitched circle to frame on top of the embossed vellum. I attached the foam tapes around the white stitched circle and some clear foam tapes under the white embossed area under the vellum, then stick the whole round piece on top of the gold cardstock. Finish the card by white embossed "thank you" on the right bottom corner of the gold cardstock. Below is a closer look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI
Stamps: Altenew
Ink Pads: Versamark
Others: vellum, circle die, embossing powders, foam tapes

Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge - March 8-14

Here is this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge. Below are challenge photos:

Below is the card I made for this challenge:

I simulated the arrangement of pictures and wall accents on the inspiration photo and made this card. I colored these images from Green Thumb stamp set with Inktense watercolor pencils and Dover Blender Pen. I loved Dove Blender Pen to give the watercolor pencils a controlled watercolor look. After coloring, I cut out each image and arranged them on a piece of dark grey cardstock with foam tapes. Then, I attached this arranged piece on a light grey card with two white thin stripes. Finish the card by stamping "hey there" (from Sentiment Sampler stamp set) at the bottom of the card and embossing it. Below is a closer look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: Simon Says Stamp, PTI
Stamps: Paper Smooches
Ink Pads: Archival ink pad, Versafine
Others: Inktense watercolor pencils, Dove Blender Pen, foam tapes, clear embossing powder

Runway Inspired Challenge ric#79 - Oscars Red Carpet

Here is Runway Inspired Challenge #79 - Oscars Red Carpet, below is the challenge photo:

I was inspired by the dress Aga picked (see below photo), and decided making a clean and simple look of card to mimic this pretty dress.

Here is the card I made:

I sprayed the white cardstock with Dylusions ink spray (Pure Sunshine) and layered the Tsukineko Fireworks ink spray (Tangelo) on top of it. The Fireworks ink spray makes the background a shimmery and sparkly effect. After the background dry, I mixed silver Inka Gold with a little bit of white embossing paste and Brushed Pewter Distress Paint to form a shiny silver paste. Then I apply this paste onto a stencil to make different size of silver dots dropping from the top to bottom. I stamped Happy Birthday To You on a vellum stripe and silver embossed it. Attached the background to a silver card to finish it.  Below is a closer look of these silver dots:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI
Stamps: Avery Elle
Ink Pads: Versamark
Stencil: Simon Says Stamp
Others: Inka Gold, embossing paste, Distress Paint, silver embossing powder, vellum, Dylusions ink spray, Tsukineko Fireworks ink spray

Thinking Of You - Hero Arts Nature Challenge

Here is another card I made for Hero Arts Nature Challenge, below is the challenge photo:

And this is the card I made with G5838 Overexposed Tree, F2674 Long Writing Background, and CL511 for the greeting - Thinking of You.

I applied Distress markers on the stamp of Overexposed Tree and stamped it on the watercolor paper. Then, I used water brush and Distress ink pads to brush and extend the colors to the whole background. After the background dry, I stamped the Long Writing Background randomly on the background. I white embossed Thinking of You on the background. The finishing touch is to brush black Distress ink around the background and attached some Faber-Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel on it. I attached the background onto a canvas background paper with foam tapes to finish the card. Below are some closer looks of the details:

Supplies:
Cardstock: watercolor paper, canvas paper
Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink Pads: Distress Ink pads, Versamark
Others: Distress markers, white embossing powder, foam tapes, glass bead glitter gel
