Baptism Card

Here are the two challenges I would like to attend this week:

And here is the card I made to attend the above two challenges:


I made this 5X7 card for a sister in our cell group who is going to be baptized in the coming September. The flower stamps are from The Ton Stamps' Happy Place stamp set. I colored them with Altenew alcohol markers. I die cut the book nested dies and brushed around them with Distress Oxide ink - Antique Linen. I also gold embossed the borders of each book die. I printed the bible verse with printer and stamped sister and her name (blur area) with Concord & 9th's Perfectly Penned stamp set. The "congratulations" (from Avery Elle's Oh Happy Day stamp set) at the bottom of the book die was gold embossed. I hand written the date on the pink ribbon die. Finish the card by attaching some different pink shades of pearls on the background. Below is another look of the card:

Altenew August 2021 Inspiration Challenge & Simon Monday Challenge - Dry Embossing

I used Altenew's Decorative Florals 3D embossing folder to dry embossed a piece of black watercolor paper. Then I colored the embossed images with Iuile metallic watercolors. The colored images are very shining and shimmery in person. I gold embossed "hello" (from Altenew's Wild Ferns stamp set) on top of the card to finish the card. Below is another look of the card:

Poppystamps Challenge PSC #83 - Anything Goes

Here is Poppystamps Challenge PSC #83 - Anything Goes, below is the challenge photo:

I used Poppystamps' Snowglobe Kit dies to assemble this snow globe. I applied Perfect Pearls on black cardstock to make the base and applied on white cardstock to make the snow ground in the globe. For the globe border, I die cut silver foil cardstock to make it. I also used Poppystamps' Evergreen Trio dies to cut the trees on white cardstock and blended green Distress Oxide inks on the three trees. I attached a vellum on the globe and assembled trees and snow ground to finish the globe. I also dropped some crystal Nuvo dots to mimic snow. I die cut "Merry Christmas" from Poppystamps' Holly Merry Christmas die and inlayed silver foil into "Merry". Below is another look of the card:

Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge - Weeks #503 - #504

Here is Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge - Weeks #503-#504, below is the challenged word art:



And here is the mini slimline card I made to attend this challenge:


I clear embossed the large flower (from Julie Hickey Designs' Be Happy stamp set) on Tim Holtz' black alcohol ink cardstock. Then I mixed water into Perfect Pearls and watercolor the flower. The remaining Perfect Pearls powders were not wasted - I sprayed water on them and take another black cardstock to wipe the colors. I cut a stripe of the Perfect Pearls background and white embossed the greeting on it. This card can be viewed vertically and horizontally. Below is the horizontal look of the card:

Sending A Little Something

Here are two challenges I would like to attend this week:

And here is the card I made to attend the above two challenges:


I stamped an old Hero Arts' word pop background stamp on white cardstock with gray dye ink. I used MISTI and Hero Arts' Gratitude background stamp to stamp light green, green, blue, and light blue on the background. Then I applied Versamark ink pad on the Gratitude background stamp, shifting the cardstock a little bid and stamp. I also applied clear embossing powder to heat emboss it. I used the blending brush to blend blue and green ink on the background, and the leaves and their white shadow resisted with the ink to create a beautiful background. I white embossed "sending a little something" (from Hero Arts' Bug You stamp set) and a small leaf image (from Hero Arts' Beautiful World stamp set) on black cardstock and cut it out. I applied foam tapes on the greeting cut out and attached it on the background. Finish the card by attaching some gems on the card. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Summertime Blues

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Summertime Blues, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I made to attend this challenge:


I die cut coral and kelp (from Paypertrey Inc.) from white cardstock. I applied different blue shades of Distress Oxide inks on the background. I sprayed water on the coral and kelp dies and put them on top of the Distress Oxide background and press them through die cut machine to make dry and water impression. Then, I attached the die cuts (with Distress ink colors) on the background to create layered look. I stamped the mermaid (from Love Cynthia) on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I cut it out and attach her on in the ocean with foam tapes. I also die cut three little fish with navy cardstock and attached them on the background. Finish the card by stamping "sending you oceans of love" (from MFT stamp) and attaching some clear gems on the card. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Monday Challenge - Birthday Celebration

I stamped the critters (from Colorado Craft Company) on white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. Then I die cut it with Simon Says Stamp' Balloons die set. I stamped the numbers background (from MFT stamp) on light blue cardstock with Versamark ink pad and embossed with Hero Arts' white satin pearl embossing powder. Finish the card by attaching the big balloon die on the background with foam tapes. Below is another look of the card:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Here is Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes, below is the challenge photo:


And here is the card I made to attend this challenge:


I used Tim Holtz' Alcohol Lift-Ink pad to ink on the Ornate Background stamp (from Simon Say Stamp) and stamp it on a colored Yupo background with alcohol inks to lift the inks. Then I stamped the background stamp on a piece of white cardstock to make my card background. I die cut "hello" (from Altenew's Fancy Hello die) three times on regular black and black shimmer cardstock and stacked them together. Finish the card by attaching "hello" on the background as well as some iridescent gems. Below is another look of the card:

I applied Tim Holtz' alcohol inks, Alloy (Foundry), and 91% alcohol on a piece of Craft Plastic to make the background. I die cut "thankful for you" (from Simon Says Stamp) on white cardstock three times and one time on holographic paper. I stacked the dies together and attached on the background to finish the card.
