Distress Oxide Water Painting Technique
After viewing Jennifer McGuire's Distress Oxide Water Painting Technique video, I would like to try this technique. Below is the card I made with Concord & 9th stamps:
I white embossed the flowers on the white cardstock. Then I applied Distress Oxide inks on the cardstock heavily to create the resist effect. I used the water brush to brush off the colors from the flowers. Then brushed again with the clear Wink of Stella pen to make flowers shiny. Finish the card by die cut "thanks" (from Mama Elephant) four times and glued them together and put in the center of the card. I also attached some white Nuvo crystal drops as accents. Below is another look of the card:
I would like to have this card to attend the following two challenges:
1) Simon Wednesday Challenge - Floral Frenzy, below is the challenge photo:
2) Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge #326 - #327, below is the word art of the challenge:
Supplies:
Cardstock: MFT
Stamps: Concord & 9th
Ink Pads: Versamark, Distress Oxide inks
Die: Mama Elephant
Others: white embossing powder, clear Wink of the Stella pen, Nuvo crystal drops

Paper Smooches March Sketch Challenge & Simon Monday Challenge
Here is Paper Smooches March Challenge - Sketch, below is the challenge photo:
And here is Simon Monday Challenge - Easter/Spring Inspiration, below is the challenge photo:
Below is the card I made to attend the above two challenges:
I brushed Ranger's alcohol inks on a piece of acetate, let it dry. Then I stamped flowers from Paper Smooches' Blooming Buds set with green Archival ink pad on the acetate. I wiped a dry cloth on the acetate, then the stamped flowers will change the colors from green to white. I learned this technique from Jennifer McGuire's "alcohol ink ghost stamping" technique. I cut out the acetate into a wide and a narrow stripe and attached them on the card. I stamped two butterflies - from Paper Smooches' Pretty Mamma set on the white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers, then brushed the clear Wink of Stella pen on top of the colors. I cut out two butterflies and attached them with foam tapes on the card. Finish the card by stamping "You are all kinds of wonderful" (from Paper Smooches' Fun & Flirty set) at the bottom of the card and dropped some Nuvo crystal drops. Below is another look of the card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: MFT, Stampin' Up
Stamps: Paper Smooches
Ink Pads: MFT, Archival ink pad
Others: acetate, alcohol inks, Nuvo crystal drops, Copic markers, foam tapes

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 23 - Try A New Technique
Here is Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 23 - Try a new technique, below is the challenge photo:
And here is the card I made to attend this challenge:
I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's Creative Masked Backgrounds technique, and would like to give it a try. I masked the white cardstock in the middle and blend Distress inks to make ocean and sky. Then, I stamped the whales and birds on another piece of white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers and brushed the clear Wink of Stella pen on them. Cut them out. I stamped some sea life animals and shells with dark blue ink in the ocean portion and stamped seagulls and water spouts with light blue ink. I also stamped "big hugs" with Versafine black ink in a curvy way and clear embossed it. Finish the card by attaching two birds with foam tapes to the two ends of "big hugs" and two whales under the water spouts. Below is another look of the card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: MFT, Neenah
Stamps: Lawn Fawn
Ink Pads: MFT, Versafine, Archival inks, Distress inks
Others: the clear Wink of Stella pen, Copic markers, clear embossing powder, foam tapes
