And here is the card I made to attend this challenge:
This card was inspired by Julie Marie's art works. I dropped some alcohol inks on the Yupo paper, let it dry completely. Then I use Uni Do! Posca extra fine white pen to draw the flowers on top of dried alcohol ink background. Finish the card by white embossed sentiment on black cardstock stripe. Below is another look of the card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: Yupo paper, Stampin' Up
Ink Pad: Versamark
Stamp: Altenew
Others: alcohol inks, Uni Do! Posca extra fine white pen, white embossing powder
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Absolutely stunning! This card caught my eye on the SSS Wednesday Challenge board, and I followed the link to see how you got the alcohol ink to stay within the stamped lines and/or to not stain the heat embossing. What a lovely surprise to see that you actually freehanded the flowers after the inking. Such gorgeous colors! P.S. I've noticed lately that quite a few of the new designers whose work I have been attracted to have ended up being finance/accounting types. Maybe there's something in our common backgrounds or the way that we think that draws us to a certain type of layout, a certain level of orderliness vs. creativity, etc. So curious....;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your compliment. I am glad to know you have the same finance/accounting background. I think card making is a very good therapy for us after the whole day working on numbers. :-)
