Simon Monday Challenge - Make Your Own Background

Here is Simon Monday Challenge - Make Your Own Background, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:

I used Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th' Layered Plaid stencils set to create the plaid background. I cut it out with a File Folder die and shaded the edges with blue ink. I stamped "you" (from Simon Says Stamp's You stamps set) on the tap of the folder and attached the folder on the navy background with foam tapes. I white embossed "are the best part of my day" (from Simon Says Stamp's You stamps set) at the bottom of the navy cardstock. Finish the card by attaching a heart enamel dot (from Altenew) under "you". Below is another look of the card:
