Simon Monday Challenge - Something New

Here is Simon Monday Challenge - Something New, below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I made to attend this challenge:

I was inspired by Yana Smakula's blog post for the technique of Faux Stationery Stamped Card, here is the link: http://www.yanasmakula.com/?p=61019. I would like to try this new technique, so I used PTI's Beautiful Blooms II to stamp the background with MISTI stamping tool and heat embossed the flower center with rose gold embossing powder. The greeting was stamped with Simon Says Stamp's Apothecary Labels and cut it out with the matching die. Finish the card by attaching the greeting label with foam tapes on the background. Below is another look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: MFT, Stampin' Up
Stamps: PTI, Simon Says Stamp!
Die: Simon Says Stamp!
Ink Pads: Altenew, Versamark
Others: rose gold embossing powder (Altenew), foam tapes

PTI Day 5: Spring Into Action Challenge

Papertrey Ink is going to celebrate its 8th anniversary this month. I am a big fan of Papertrey Ink since it started and have tons of PTI's stamps. I did have some sets of PTI stamps not use them yet. This challenge is really a good chance to get my unused PTI stamp sets an opportunity to make a card. Below is the card I made with both Doodlie-Do set and Background Basics: Inspiration set:

I white embossed the flowers, leaves, and sentiment from Doodlie-Do set on black cardstock as well as the text stripe from the Background Basics: Inspiration set. Then, I used Inka Gold to color the images to create a shimmery look. I used the corner rounder to round the left two corners to finish the card. I love the chalkboard effect of this card. Below is a closer look of the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI
Stamps: PTI
Ink Pad: Versamark
Others: white embossing powder, Inka Gold, corner rounder

Love Letters

Lavender is my favorite color and it means romantic to me. When I see the "Love Letters" challenge (CFC88) from CAS-ual Fridays this week, I just want to make a lavender love card. Here is the challenge:

And this is the card I made:

This card may not look like clean, but it is simple for me (LOL). I just applied three different colors of Distress Ink Pads and spritz with Perfect Pearl water to make the background. Then, I stamped the lavenders on the background with light green ink pad. I used Inktense watercolor pencils to draw the lavenders with purple on flowers and green on stems. I brushed the water brush on the flowers and stems to make a watercolor effect. I also cut out two lavenders with die cuts and attach on the background to make a dimensional effect. The "LOVE" letters were die cut letters from Memory Box. After I die cut the letters with white cardstocks, I applied the white enamel accents from Ranger on the letters. After the letters are dry, I glued them on the top right corner to finish the card. Here is a closer look of the letters (love it!):

Supplies:
Cardstocks: PTI (white)
Stamps: Papertrey Ink.
Ink Pads: Distress Ink Pads
Dies: Papertrey Ink. (lavenders), Memory Box (letter dies)
Others: Perfect Pearls, Inktense watercolor pencils, water brush, white enamel accents

Trees Color Trends Challenge

This is another fun challenge interests me to attend. I love this color combo as well as the tree stamps. Here is the challenge:

And here is the card I made:

I used Papertrey Ink's "Falling Leaves" set to create this autumn tree card. Leaves were colored with Distress Markers. The edge of background cardstock was distressed and swiped with Distress Ink Pad (Mustard Seed). A quick & simple card.

Here is a close look of the card:
