Spellbinders January 2026 Monthly Cardmaking Challenge - Foil & Shine

Here is Spellbinders January 2026 Monthly Cardmaking Challenge - Foil & Shine. Below is the challenge photo:

And here is the card I created to attend this challenge:

I used Spellbinders' Winter Rose Background press plate and matte gold foil to hot foil the background. Then I used the matching stencils to blended the ink colors on the background. I used Spellbinders' Postage Stamps 3D embossing and cut folder to dry emboss the postage and cut out a piece of rectangle background to attach into the postage. I attached the postage on the background with foam tapes. Finish the card by attaching the gold foiled sentiment strip - Always and Forever (from Spellbinders' Always and Forever sentiment strips press plate & die set) on the postage. Below is another look of the card:

Spellbinders Lilac Lovelies Contest

Here is Spellbinders' Lilac Lovelies Contest, below is the challenge photo:

Lilac/Purple is my favorite color, I am excited to create this below card to join this contest:

I used Spellbinders' Butterfly Garden press plate and BetterPress system to press on the watercolor paper. I also used Spellbinders' Butterfly Swirl press plate and die set to press the extra butterflies and die cut them out. Then I used lilac/purple tones of metallic watercolors to watercolor the background as well as the butterflies. The metallic watercolors create the shimmery look on the whole background and butterflies. I matted the background on Spellbinders' Lilac Blossom cardstock. Finish the card by attaching "thank you" panel with foam tapes and two additional butterflies around it. Below is another look of the card:

Supplies:

Cardstock: Spellbinders, Canson watercolor paper

Ink Pad: Spellbinders

Press Plates: Spellbinders

Dies: Spellbinders

Others: metallic watercolors, foam tapes
